What "NOW" Viewers Are Expressing about Sarah Palin

As I noted in a previous post PBS' current events program "NOW" is conducting a poll which is asking voters if they believe that Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin is qualified to serve as Vice President. Well, as of 8 PM EST the results show:
  • 51% yes,
  • 46% no and
  • 1% not sure.
Of course everyone has a right to their opinion but I would be very interested hearing from the 51% why they believe that Gov. Palin is qualified to assume the Presidency of the United States in the event that Senator McCain can not fulfill the duties of the office.

When Governor Palin was asked at recent Town Hall Meeting to outline "specific skills" to support her foreign policy credentials she herself could not answer the question.

Pete Snyder, a Republican consultant states that her "energy experience" gives her foreign policy credentials.

?????

And Frasier Seitel, FOX News' "PR kinda guy" states that "she's coming up the learning curve" and that she has three strengths:

  • She's an outsider;
  • She believes in energy independence; and,
  • She's an advocate for children with special needs. (an "advocate" who by the way, cut the state's budget for The Special Olympics).
??????

Even Fox News couldn't make this sound good.

Yet 51% of the people who've voted in the "NOW" poll believe that Sarah Palin is ready to be VP.

Oh My!
