Hillary Nixes Rumors About Clinton/Obama Rift

Earlier today Senator Hillary Clinton spoke at a New York press conference and set the record straight on her role in the Democratic Convention and why her supporters should vote for Obama and not McCain.

However, as Catherine Morgan pointed out in her blog "Polls, Perception and The Democratic Convention" the media just doesn't want to accept the fact that primary rivals can also be mature, civil adults and put their differences aside for the greater good.

Sadly, there will be a few Clinton supporters, like the women who called in to C-SPAN this morning, who will vote for McCain. This woman stated that she had been a Clinton supporter and will now vote for McCain in November but she "afraid that there will be riots everywhere if Obama isn't elected". And it's just that type of irrational fear that Karl Rove tapped into in 2000 and 2004.

What do you say to someone who lets irrational fears outweigh their judgment. ?
