Democracy Is Very Different in The Middle East

" As in love, so in diplomacy, it's wiser to see what people do than what they say.

Welcome home Benazir Bhutto.

Pakistan's current Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz has confirmed that up to 500 people have been arrested across the country, in a crackdown which began after President Musharaf declared a state of emergency.

Former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto has issued the following statement about the crackdown on ABC News' "Good Morning America Weekend Edition" on Sunday:

"Gen. Musharraf needs to be told very plainly that it's important for Pakistan that the constitution be restored, that the judiciary be respected, that political prisoners be released, and that fair, free, and independent elections be held under an independent election commission"
